Dale Movalli will give a gallery walk and talk at the Charles Movalli Retrospective at the North Shore Arts Association. 

In appreciation for all who helped make the Cape Ann Museum show "Charles Movalli: Cape Ann and Beyond" a success, an invite-only closing party will be held on June 5, 2017 from 3-5 p.m. at the Movalli estate. Contact us for more information.

Artist and gallery owner Judi Rotenberg will talk about Charles Movalli’s work and her relationship with the artist who she represented in her Boston gallery for many years.

Sinikka Nogelo, artist and former host of the Cape Ann Report, moderates this discussion between  friends, students and colleagues of Charles Movalli. Panelists include T.M. Nicholas, Mike Graves, Dennis Poirier, Charles Shurcliff, Marilyn Swift and Tom Gill, who will reflect on Movalli's inspiring life and career.

Artists Tom and T.M. Nicholas (father and son, respectively), will talk about Charles Movalli’s influence as a friend and mentor. This program is free for Museum members or with Museum admission paid upon arrival. Space is limited; reservations required. 

Author and art historian Judith Curtis will give an illustrated lecture on one of the North Shore’s most distinguished landscape and marine painters, the late Charles Movalli. This talk will touch on Movalli’s philosophy and technique as it pertains to works in the Cape Ann & Beyond exhibition.

Due to high demand and the popularity of the Dale Movalli's first gallery talk, (we had to turn people away!) a second talk at the Cape Ann Museum has been added.
